TECNALIA has officially inaugurated its new Advanced Manufacturing Lab, a state-of-the-art facility designed to address the growing need for scalable, applied innovation in industry. Named the Proactive Factory Lab, this dynamic space enables the testing and maturation of pre-competitive technological solutions in fully functional and scalable environments. The Lab houses advanced equipment made possible through support from the AI-MATTERS project.
Structured around three key pillars—Advanced & Intelligent Robotics, Smart Machine Design & Optimisation, and Intelligent Production Processes—the lab offers a holistic approach to tackling today’s most pressing industrial challenges. Designed to adapt to the specific needs of companies, the Proactive Factory Lab positions businesses as central players in shaping the future of manufacturing.
The launch event marked the first thematic day, where over 60 companies gained firsthand access to the new facility. Attendees witnessed live demonstrations of cutting-edge solutions, including adaptive welding, machine digitalization, flexible robotics, cable-based robotic systems, and advanced human-machine interfaces.
This new lab reinforces TECNALIA’s commitment to driving innovation and supporting industry transformation through collaborative, real-world technological development.
