
From October 13 to 17, 2025, AIMEN held the tenth edition of its International Laser Week in O Porriño, bringing together more than 200 professionals from industry and academia. The event focused on the application of laser technology in materials processing and the integration of advanced artificial intelligence solutions.
On Tuesday, October 14th, AI-MATTERS actively participated in the workshop organized by the PIONEER project, dedicated to additive manufacturing and open innovation in industry. During the workshop, Santiago Grandal presented the innovation landscape in the EU and highlighted AI-MATTERS’ TEF as a key tool to drive digital transformation in companies of all sizes. In addition, the services available through AI-MATTERS were presented, offering opportunities for both SMEs and large companies.
On Thursday, October 16, in a session on artificial intelligence applied to laser processing, NIT, AI-MATTERS’ first customer, presented the service received: “Generation of high quality synthetic images to improve reliability in defect detection during remote laser welding”. Testimonials were recorded to illustrate the impact of these solutions in the industry.
