On November 27th and 28th, the V National Meeting of EDIHs was held in Gran Canaria, where TECNALIA as coordinator of the Spanish node, was invited to present the AI MATTERS project (AI in Manufacturing for EU industries) and thus, continue with the collaboration activities with the National Network of EDIHs, specifically, to strengthen the search for synergies between AI-MATTERS and the EDIHs in Spain. The event, focused on analyzing the present and future of artificial intelligence (AI) in Europe, brought together experts, institutions and citizens around the impact of AI in our society and in strategic sectors of the economy.
AI-MATTERS was present at several moments of the event. On the one hand, during the event open to a general audience, AI-MATTERS had the opportunity to present the activities and mission of the network, as well as its complementarity with the EDIH and the AI Factories. On the other hand, during an exclusive session for EDIHs from all over Spain, synergies between TEF AI-MATTERS and EDIHs in Spain were explored. In this sense, the objective was to understand which are the areas of collaboration between both and to analyze how to bring more value to the companies together.
Based on the discussions that took place and the contributions received, both AI-MATTERS and EDIH committed to continue collaborating to provide complementary services that allow the same companies to access a more complete and coordinated support, as well as to collaborate in the organization of awareness activities, events and conferences to disseminate best practices and emerging technologies.
