More than 50 representatives from companies across various industrial sectors participated in the workshop “AI-Driven Advanced Manufacturing,” organized by the Aragón Institute of Technology (ITA) at the DIC (Digital Imagination Center) building, as part of the European AI-MATTERS project.
During the session, attendees learned about the main trends in advanced manufacturing and the opportunities offered by the combination of artificial intelligence, automation, robotics, and data analytics to optimize production processes, increase efficiency, and support data-driven decision-making.
One of the main focuses of the event was the presentation of business use cases that demonstrated practical applications of artificial intelligence in areas such as predictive maintenance, quality control, process optimization, and advanced production management
Participants also learned about the support, experimentation, and technology validation services that the ITA offers to companies through the AI-MATTERS project, facilitating access to advanced technologies and reducing barriers to their industrial implementation.
The event concluded with a networking session and a tour of the TEF’s technology facilities, fostering knowledge exchange and creating new opportunities for collaboration between companies and stakeholders in the innovation ecosystem.
Representing the ITA at this event were Alfredo Gómez and Cristina de la Hera, who lead the AI-MATTERS project; and Silvia Ferrer, who presented the Aragón EDIH to attendees and highlighted its synergies with the AI-MATTERS project, both of which are key initiatives for the implementation of the European artificial intelligence strategy supported by the European Commission.
