The May 28, 2026the Instituto Tecnológico de Aragón ITA hosted at its headquarters in Zaragoza a new edition of KUKA on Tour, a technical conference that brought together professionals and experts from the industrial sector to analyze the main trends that are transforming advanced manufacturing.

During the meeting, some of the most relevant challenges and opportunities for the industry were addressed, from the evolution of industrial robotics to the growing impact of artificial intelligence in production environments.

The session was attended by Fernando Sánchez Rodríguez, who presented the latest trends in robotics and the technological evolution of the sector. For his part, Jordi Carafí Mauri delved into the new regulations in automation and regulatory changes that will mark the development of industrial solutions in the coming years.

One of the central blocks of the day was the round table “AIMatters: AI applied to manufacturing”, with the participation of Rosa Castillón Lacasa and Cristina de la Hera, ITA researchers, sharing application cases and reflections on the role of artificial intelligence in the improvement of industrial processes, operational efficiency and decision making in the plant.
