ESAIM 2025

ESAIM 2025, 3rd European Symposium on Artificial Intelligence in Manufacturing, will be organized by Tecnalia (coordinator of the Spanish node in AI-MATTERS) on October 23, 2025.

The objective of the ESAIM’25 symposium is to address recent developments in artificial intelligence (AI) applied to manufacturing, in order to understand the key concepts and technologies, as well as the benefits and barriers associated with their implementation in industrial practice. The symposium welcomes contributions focused on theoretical, applied research and industrial case studies.

The ESAIM’25 symposium covers topics such as AI for manufacturing processes, robots, machinery and operations support, as well as AI for manufacturing systems. Research papers on cross-cutting aspects such as information systems, regulation, education, systems engineering and data augmentation are also considered.

More specifically, the ESAIM’25 themes are:

– AI for monitoring, optimization and control of processes
– AI for condition monitoring, diagnostics and predictive maintenance
– AI for quality assessment and prediction
– AI for planning, scheduling and control of manufacturing systems and value chains
– AI for flexible and precise robotics
– AI for improved human-robot collaboration
– AI for the design of manufacturing systems, equipment, processes and products.
– Digital platforms, data spaces and information technologies for AI applications in manufacturing systems.
– Digital Twins to optimize processes, equipment and plant operations
– Data augmentation and synthetic data for AI application development
– Education and training for the development of skills in AI applied to manufacturing.
– Ethical and legal aspects of AI in manufacturing.
